So, this past Thursday, I went to lunchtime zumba. I love lunchtime zumba! It’s a great way to break up the day. Anyway, I found out that someone weighed less than I did. Now, at first glance I wouldn’t have thought that, and it messed with me a little.
Moving on to Friday morning……I still had that revelation in my brain, and I left the house feeling less than confident. I actually had a bad body image morning. Then I said, “Self,” and my self said, “Hmm?” – LOL, ok not really, BUT I mentally said, “pull yourself together!” Weight is deceptive. That number is FULL of shenanigans. And it’s not about the number. It’s about the way you FEEL and how your clothes fit!
My pep talk also included the fact that you can’t necessarily compare how your body looks to how someone else’s body looks. You just can’t. It doesn’t make sense. Your body is your own. Comparing it is just going to irritate you if you let it and possibly make you get in your feelings. UNgood.
OK – enough of that! 🙂
I had a great workout day and a good food day! I worked out with G, 16 minutes on the treadmill and then a zumba class! Go ME!
Keep motivated, y’all! Whatever your fitness goals may be, keep motivated!
