Fitness is a part of my life.
Damn, it felt good to say that and mean it!
In January 2011, I told myself that I needed to make fitness a priority, a habit, part of my life. Normally, 6 months after that, if I hadn’t seen the results I wanted, I would just give up and work out “when I had the time.”
Now, fast forward to August 2012 …… I have not stopped my fitness activity in OVER A YEAR! I am ridiculously proud of that! I can’t imagine having a week go by without some sort of fitness routine. OK. I just told y’all a little fib. YES, I can imagine it and have maybe gone a week due to illness or whatever, but that is no longer my NORMAL! My normal is to work out at least 3 times a week. Doesn’t that sound wonderful?! Well, if it doesn’t to you, it does it to me!
I run my fitness weeks Sunday-Saturday. I think it’s important to figure out what your fitness week is, so you can track your activity. This week, I will have worked out 5 times. And, don’t you know, I have smiled during every workout so far! Well, I didn’t smile the whole time I was working out with G yesterday, but that’s neither her nor there.
This week, I have been told that I’m a motivator and that I’m an inspiration. Both compliments are so humbling, and I am honored that they were given. I didn’t necessarily set out to inspire anyone. Motivate yes, but INSPIRE?! Inspire FITNESS?! Nope, never thought it would be me at this point in my life. But, if I can inspire someone by sharing my own experiences, that’s great!
I think I’m all over the map with this post. I just feel GOOD!
Happy Friday, y’all!
