No, it’s not Rakim.
Now that my not-so-little sinus infection is being battled back into illness land, I am feeling SO MUCH BETTER! I cannot believe I let myself feel so bad for so long. Shame on me. My energy level is coming back, and I feel like I can tackle my workouts again. I was draggin’ y’all. Thank goodness sense finally came to me, and I went to see the doctor.
And, she rambles…..
Anyway, I’m feeling good and ready to work out! I have MISSED my regular workouts! I did tap on Tuesday, and I’ll be doing something completely out of my comfort zone over the weekend! I’ll be sure to tell you all about it……with pictures!!
Sometimes people have conditions that make it difficult to lose weight. It’s easy to try and use those conditions as crutches. Trust me. I have Hypothyroidism AND PCOS (will now be known as HypoP) – that’s like a double whammy. However, when I met my trainer for the first time, I told him that I had NO intention of using either of those as a crutch. You just have to work out differently.
I bring this up because I had an unexpected conversation this morning about these conditions and how they factor into training. Now, because of my body type and HypoP, cardio is not always going to be my weight loss buddy. Cardio is necessary, but I have better and more results when I pair cardio with weights and resistance type training. My awesome trainer taught me that, and I was absolutely skeptical. I got results though.
Happy Friday, y’all! Stay tuned for news of my adventure!
