I got over being overwhelmed!
I’ve always said that you get support and inspiration when you least expect it. Well, I got it. It helped. I’m glad!
Remember how scared I was to go back to my trainer after not working out for a week because I was sick? Well, I saw my trainer yesterday, and guess what?! I did it! I jogged for 10 minutes and did whatever else the torture master asked me to do. Including, incline sprints, leg raises, medicine ball slams and the dreaded burpees. He also challenged me to get on the treadmill for 30-45 minutes, 5 time a week. Also, challenged me to eat 10 salads per week. Sheesh!
I’m going to attempt to take his advice. Really. Yes, 10 salads a week sounds like a TON of damn salad! I asked him if spinach in my smoothies counts. He thought about it and said yes! (Score for me!). He then asked me if I knew what I would look like if I did the treadmill thing and ate as much salad as he said. (0.5 score for him.) My response? I said I would probably stop traffic although, I might be able to do that now! ROFL!
My goal (as it has always been) is to take every meal and gym visit as it comes. My plan is to hit the gym tonight after work for my 30 minute treadmill date. We’ll see how that goes. Yes, as I told G, it is possible to carve out 30 minutes out of each day for myself. Message heard loud and clear! Time to push myself. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve done well incorporating exercise into my life. I’m proud of that. It’s just now time to step it up a notch.
I feel pretty good today. I really do. Music, inspiration and positive thoughts from friends and loved ones……it all helps! Suggestion of the day? Make a “songs that make you feel sexy” playlist and play it WHENEVER you need a pick me up! Trust me on this one!
