Did I mention that I have not always been a fan of change? In some ways, I’m still not a fan, but I manage to make changes anyway.
So, over the weekend, my trainer informed me that he accepted a training position across the country. Wha? WHAT?!? Wow. Of course, I’m VERY happy for him! I’m going to miss him for sure, but I’m happy that he will be doing what he loves in a place that he loves.
But, back to me. Because y’all know that this blog is all about me. *wink*
I thought I would be more anxious when I heard that my trainer was moving on. I’m not though, and I think I’m surprised by that. I mean, he has taught me SO much about fitness, eating, pushing myself and how strong I really am. I’m going to remember those lessons and sincerely hope that I will continue to use them. My plan is to continue the things he taught me. I still hate burpees though. Who knows if I will ever do them again! LOL!
So, with all of that said, I had a session this past Tuesday, I have one scheduled for tomorrow, and my last session will be next Tuesday. I still have to post a video testimonial though. I need to write that down or it won’t get done.
I do still have 26 paid-for training sessions at my gym. I need to use those for sure! Hell, they are PAID FOR already! Then, there’s that change thing….I’ve been working out with my current trainer for so long, it’ll be hard to work with someone else. Maybe I’ll just rotate trainers just to get the sessions done.
So, since my trainer is leaving, I’ll have to amp up my jogging/running and add in more resistance training on my own. If I could start out with getting 2 runs in a week to start, I would be happy with that.
I took charge of my fitness for real in January 2011. Now maybe it’s time to take charge in a bit of a different way. I can do this. I HAVE been doing it. I can continue to do it.
Happy Thursday, y’all!
