Happy New Year!
OK, so I’m a little behind, but the sentiment is still the same. It’s 2014! Crazy, huh? I feel like time is just moving so quickly!
Anyway, 2014 is going well. Had a little sickness…..the kind you call out of work for. Still working out. Added a weekly tap class. Preparing for recital. My goals are still present and accounted for.
Also this year, I decided to try going gluten free (GF). I am doing this because I found myself getting uncomfortably bloated after eating certain foods. I will say that I have not experienced that type of bloating since I began my GF life. That’s a plus. Yes, there are certain things that I love that I cannot eat. Sometimes, it’s just a matter of finding out how to make it differently.
I was told recently that I appear to be very comfortable in my skin. I guess I am. Not that I don’t experience feelings of insecurity because I do. However, they are few and not just about my fitness journey. I started writing this blog about my fitness journey, BUT I think I need to start adding the range of emotions and thoughts that go with becoming fit, becoming healthy, striving to find balance. Stress can make you unhealthy. Eating a pound of bacon everyday can make you unhealthy.
I guess what I’m trying to say is that LIFE is a journey no matter if you’re fat, thin, tall, short, white, black, yellow, purple, challenged in any way shape or form. It’s a journey.
SO, with that said, I’ll be sharing my GF adventures, how everyday stuff affects my thoughts toward fit and healthy living, and anything I want to ramble on about. Stay with me, people! I’m almost certain you’ll be entertained!
