I started the Autoimmune Protocol (AIP) this past Sunday, March 29. Day 1 was ok. I spent a big chuck of the day cooking for the week, so my time was occupied.
Day 2 was a completely different story! I suffered with a migraine most of the day, and it was a doozy! I ended up going to sleep right after I got home and only woke up to move up to bed. I had no choice but to sleep through it. Apparently, I’ve started the detox process. Sheesh.
So today is Day 3. Headache
didn’t begin until late afternoon. I reached out to the Facebook AIP group I’m on, and someone said that magnesium helps with the headaches, so I picked some up. I’ll try almost anything seeing as how I’m supposed to avoid NSAIDS. This is definitely a better evening than Day 2.
What I’m realizing about myself is how much I like to snack. UGH. I want something crunchy, and not a damned apple! LOL ~ I’ll get through it. There are just so many foods you have to avoid. Boo.
Surprisingly enough, raisins have become my new BFF. I’ve never been a big fan of raisins.
I always expected AIP to be difficult, and my expectations were correct.
