Actually six. I’ve lost 6 pounds since the end of March. Guess AIP is to blame for that. 😉
“Are you doing this to lose weight or feel better? What is your goal?”
A loved one asked me this about AIP, and it’s a great question. I’m actually doing AIP, first, to feel better. If weight loss is a bonus effect, then great! I’m down! (Did you see what I just did there?)
How DO I feel you ask? Well, as a result of AIP so far, I think it’s too soon to tell. I mean, I believe I’ve gotten through the detox stage rather quickly. I could be wrong about that though.
Now, as for how Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis makes me feel…..there are just too many things. Lethargy, achey joints, numbness in extremities, etc. There are are 300+ symptoms of hypothyroidism, and when I looked at this list, i though, “what the actual hell?!” So, for your reading pleasure, I’ve provided a link.
I would suggest you read it. Especially if you know someone with Hashimotos. I mean, educate yourself. You may learn something, and knowledge is power. Not to mention it could help you better understand a friend or loved one. Know better, do better, I say. Well, a lot of other people say it too.
Am I happy about the weight loss? Absolutely! However, it’s tempered with “does that mean I’m going to have to do this AIP BS forever?!” LOL – I guess if it’s a positive, it’s not BS, but I’d invite you to try it and see how you feel!
