So, yesterday began my 19th WEEK of AIP! WOW! Who knew I’d last this long?! Maybe I did because I knew I had to in order to feel better. It’s just what I do now. I have my occasional struggles. I want pizza and crackers and soda and a McDonald’s triple cheeseburger sometimes. But, alas, I cannot. You know what though? It’s ok. I get pass the cravings just by the sheer thought of how those foods will make me FEEL afterwards.
I’m sure I’ve talked about reintroducing foods before, but now I’m going to give you a list of what I’ve tried, what has been successfully and what hasn’t.
- Jasmine Rice – semi successful. Sometimes it gives me a headache
- Dark Chocolate – successful in small amounts
- Pinot Grigio – no issues there!
- Tequila (Jose Cuervo) – no issues!
- Red Wine – gives me a headache, but maybe I need to buy a more expensive wine
- Almond Butter – the most I’ve had is today, so we’ll see
I think that’s it so far. I thought there was more, but I think I get a little gun shy when it comes to reintroductions.
I’m still maintaining my weight loss! I’m going to start weight training this month and definitely drinking more water. The weight is bound to keep coming off if I work at it.
I’m due to see my endo in a couple of weeks. I was going to try a new one, but I think I need to go back to my current one to let him know that I helped myself. He never once recommended AIP. I mean, it’s probably not in the medical books, but it would’ve been nice if he could think outside of the box. I need to let him know. “Hey, Endo! I did this!”
Another think that is a semi challenge is my clothing situation! I mean, don’t get me wrong, I love it! My clothes are just too big! YAY! I actually need to treat myself and go shopping. I think a trip to Ross is in my near future!
